The PEANUT® Mini Jig is a fast and simple solution for woodworkers who wish to take advantage of the PEANUT® System. The PEANUT® Mini Jig’s compact size and ease of use makes it perfect for projects of all sizes. Making joints with the PEANUT® Mini Jig can be learnt in minutes.
The PEANUT Mini Jig is compatible with the PEANUT 2 and PEANUT 2 Short and has the ability to create loose tenon and dowel joints (size up to 10mm) as well.
PEANUT joints can be created on any size panel. Depending on application, we recommend that the PEANUT slots are positioned approximately 20cm apart.
The adjustable fence enables the jig to be used for 90° joints on panels with thicknesses >15.3mm and 45° joints on panels with thicknesses >18mm.
Horizontal and vertical centre lines enable the jig to be used without the fence anywhere on a panel by aligning the centre lines with reference lines on the panel.
Countersunk screw holes along the horizontal centre line can be used to secure the jig when clamping is not possible, the screw holes will then be covered by the corresponding panel.
The Mini Jig features holes for gravity stopping studs for easy and quick positioning for edge joints. Notches in the jig body are a reference for central joints.
The shape of the jig body is ergonomically designed for easy gripping and also features a depth gauge to accurately set the PEANUT® cutter in the router.
The jig includes a 6mm drill bush and 6mm drill with stop which is used to drill a 6mm hole for the PEANUT 2 or for 6mm dowels. Additional 5mm, 8mm and 10mm drill kits are available.
A standard 30mm router guide bush can be used with the Mini Jig (Note, a router guide bush is not included in the set). The guide bush projection should be no larger than 9mm to allow the router to sit flat on the jig body.
